The impact of Precios Cuidados is focused on monitoring and defending consumer rights by creating an app that allows to compare reference prices of massively consumed goods. This not only gives citizens transparent information to make informed purchasing decisions, but also fosters competition among markets and contributes to economic stability.

CHALLENGE

The challenge lies in ensuring that citizens have access to massively consumed goods at fair and transparent prices, while promoting equity and protecting consumers’ rights This implies constantly monitoring prices and ensuring compliance with agreements made between the State and different participants in the supply chain.

NEED

The main need was to develop an app that facilitates comparing prices and ranking participating markets, thus ensuring compliance with agreement among the State, producers, distributors, supermarkets, and wholesalers. This tool aims to foster market transparency and equity, strengthening consumers’ trust and fostering a responsible and sustainable consumption culture.
